Privacy Policy
This policy explains how IRIENN ("we") handles your information in Daily Ledger (free) and Daily Ledger (No Ads) (paid), together "the app". The two apps differ only in ads. The Korean version is the original; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. At a glance
- No sign-up needed. If you don't link an account, your ledger stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Account sync is optional. If you link an Apple or Google account in Settings, your ledger is stored in your account (Google Cloud, Seoul, South Korea) so you can see it on other devices.
- We collect usage statistics (screens viewed, load times) without your name or ledger content.
- The free app shows banner ads (Google AdMob). The paid app has no ads.
- We do not sell your information.
2. What we collect and why
- Without an account: entries (amount, income/expense, category, date, place, memo, payment method, installment/recurrence), custom categories, favorites and settings are stored only on your device. Moving from the free app to the paid app on the same iPhone uses a shared on-device folder (App Group) and never leaves the device.
- With a linked account (optional): account ID, sign-in method, email address (Apple may give a private relay address) and, if provided by Apple or Google, your name (Google may also provide a profile photo URL); your entries, custom categories and favorites, with timestamps, deletion markers and a random per-install number. Purpose: sign-in and syncing your ledger across your devices.
- Usage statistics (both apps): Google Analytics for Firebase receives screen names, period/filter of the screen, load times, the screen you left the app from, plus data Google collects automatically (app instance ID, device model, OS and app version, approximate region from IP). No amounts, memos or account details. Purpose: improving the app.
- Ads (free app only): Google AdMob collects device information, approximate location from IP, ad views and taps, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking. Your ledger and account data are never used for ads.
3. Where data is stored and who processes it
- Unlinked data: your device.
- Linked ledger data: Google Cloud Firestore, Seoul region (asia-northeast3). Security rules allow only you to access your data.
- Sign-in data (Firebase Authentication), usage statistics and ad data: Google servers, which may be in the United States or other countries.
- Google LLC processes this data on our behalf (Firebase). Sign-in screens are shown by Apple and Google; we never receive your password. For ads, Google acts as an independent controller and collects data directly under its own Privacy Policy.
4. Retention and deletion
- Delete account: Settings > account card at the top > Delete account. After you confirm your identity, your server data and sign-in account are deleted immediately, and Sign in with Apple is revoked. Data on the device stays.
- Unlink: unlinks this device only. Server data is kept until you delete the account.
- Uninstall: deletes data on the device. Server data of a linked account remains; delete the account or email us.
- When you delete an entry, its contents (amount, category, place, memo, etc.) are erased on the device and the server right away. Only an empty deletion marker (the time of deletion) remains so other devices can remove it; it is erased with the account.
- Usage statistics are deleted automatically from Google Analytics after 14 months. Aggregate counts (such as daily users) that cannot identify you may remain.
5. Tracking (free app)
The free app asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, all features still work and the advertising identifier is not used. You can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. The paid app does not show ads or ask for tracking.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's ad consent screen appears first on first launch. If you do not consent, the app does not request ads. You can change your choice anytime in Settings > More > Ad privacy settings (shown only in those regions).
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 14 (under 13 in the United States) and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has linked an account, email us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights and contact
You can view, edit and delete your entries in the app and delete your account in Settings. You may also ask us to access, correct, delete or stop processing your data: [email protected]. We do not share your data with third parties except as described above or when required by law.
